Entry
You’ll enter through Door 118 on The Landing, directly across from Mercado. Once your booking is confirmed, Cedar Loft Studio will send a confirmation email with call box instructions for entry. If you haven’t received access details before your rental, please contact us so we can assist. Refunds are not provided for missed rental time.
Parking
Heads up that parking on The Landing may come with fees.
You and your guests are responsible for any tickets, so plan ahead if needed. Cedar Loft studio is not responsible for any unpaid parking.
Slide/Mill: Absolutely no one is allowed to be on the slide. As this may be tempting for us adults as well as kids, this is a piece of art and to maintain the beauty of it, we must remain off of it.
Deposits & Payments
All rentals require a 25% non-refundable deposit at booking to secure your date. If the deposit isn’t paid, the date remains open for others. Final payment is due no later than 24 hours before your rental. If the balance isn’t paid by that time, the studio may open that timeframe for shared or alternate bookings
Reschedule/cancellation policy
+ Rentals are non-refundable, but life happens—we’re happy to offer one reschedule within 30 days if you need flexibility.
Around the Space
+ No Smoking (vaping included)
+ We want everyone to feel comfortable and welcome:
+ Keep music and volume at a chill level.
+ Pets are welcome! If you’re bringing multiples (like mini pet rounds), there’s a $25 pet fee. Please clean up after furry friends and keep them off the furniture.
Props & Furniture
+ Our props are shared—if you see it on the shelf or in our prop and prep area, feel free to style with it.
+ Move things around as you need, then reset before you head out.
+ Big items (the large mirror, sofas, bed, etc.) should stay put unless we pre-approve a move.
Cleanliness
+ Please leave yourself enough time to clean and reset
+ Wipe up spills and messes.
+ Gather up snacks, packaging, personal items.
+ Return props and furniture where you found them.
+ Roll backdrop paper back up.
+ Take any oversized trash with you.
If anything needs attention (a mess, a broken bulb, restrooms needing supplies), just let us know!
Accidents + Damages
We know things happen—just let us know.
If something breaks or is damaged, we’ll assess replacement/repair and invoice if needed.
Elevator (freight) access: Old elevators need to be taken care of with a little extra care. With the fragility of our freight elevator, it must be prearranged and operated by a Cedar Loft studio staff.
Kitchen:
The kitchen appliances are available as a prop or visual backdrop unless you’ve pre-arranged usage with Cedar Loft Studio. If approved for use, please clean, turn off, and reset everything as you found it. A cleaning fee may be invoiced if the space isn’t left as-is.
Cameras + Security
Cameras are used to monitor rules and safety. We fully respect you and your clients privacy.
Liability
By booking a rental, you acknowledge that you, your clients, guests, pets, and any production members are using the studio at your own risk. Cedar Loft Studio/The Local Archive is not responsible for personal injury, loss, theft, or damage to cameras, gear, wardrobe, props, or personal belongings.
Renters accept full responsibility for any damage to studio property, furniture, equipment, sets, or fixtures during their rental and agree to cover repair or replacement costs. This rental applies only to the designated front loft room and the bay area near that space.
Cedar Loft Studio/The Local Archive is not liable for business or creative losses related to technical issues, delays, or circumstances outside our control.
